Ford Explorer 92 wiring and original amp

Hello all, im new here and ive got a little problem

Got a 92 Ford Explorer XLT.

Been searching the forums here for some help, and i think allot is allot clearer now.

I looked here and found my cables to look just like the Premium system in that .PDF

So down to bussiness!
Since ive fitted new cars sounds systems before i just went ahead and cut all the wires (including the "Do not cut!!" cable, thick gray one whit speaker wires) well, learing the hardway i guess.

Im fitting new speakers in it, and id like to use the same wires and maybe even the same old amp, so i was thinking, if i find the remote cable for the Amp and hook it up to the headunit remote, shouldnt that just fire the amp up making it possible for me to use the old speaker wires to the new HU?

Factory 8 Input Gray/Black Plug
YELLOW /GREEN - Memory Power (const. 12V+)
Yellow/Black - Ignition (Switched 12V+)
Black - Ground Wire
Blue - Amplifier Remote
Blue/Red - Illumination
BLACK/ Green - Groundwire aswell, but chassie ground right?

But in edition to those ive got these aswell:
Yellow/Black
ORANGE / black

Anyone have an idé what these do?

So to sum it up:
Even after cutting the Speaker wires cable, if i can find a way to power up the amp, could i just it allong whit the new Headunit and the old speaker wiers?

Here in the states we have harness adapters that will plug into the factory radio harness, and the other end will wire to the new stereo color for color. That way, there's no cutting involved. I'm not sure if you have those available where you are, but if so, that would be the best solution. Reconnect the wiring back to factory and use one of those.

If that's not an option, you should verify the wiring with a meter as described in the sticky "how to figure out stereo wiring". Don't worry about the extra wires, just make sure the ends are isolated (taped off, etc.) so nothing shorts and you shouldn't have any problems.

spoke to a person at Ford here in sweden, he said he might be able to get one of them converters.

But i sorted it out in another way. I just hooked up the amp remote to the head unit and installed my new speakers whit the original wires and hooked them up to the headunit whit some help from a thread here pointing out what colors all the speakers had.

so case closed! :D
