Hello everyone, I have an 87 Corvette that I am going to install a cd player in. Since its a 2 DIN, I looked and found Metra 99-4544 on here. It says its a multikit. The question I am asking is how good does this kit work? Also, I have a Kenwood 6042 EQ that I want to install. Will the EQ plate that comes with this kit work for me? I wanted to be sure that everything will work with that faceplate, seeing as the local Circuit City guys know nothing about car audio.

Thanks In Advance!

Your radio is not a double din it is smaller.  And yes the 99-4544 will work good.  It comes with the factory mounting brackets but i like to remove the backets from the factory radio and bolt them to the aftermarket kit with the supplied screws that come with the kit.  Your EQ will work as long as you have some type of mount backet or cage that will mount to the kit.
