So, I just got rid of my old truck, and ripped my stereo out. Now I have a 5 cubic foot sub box doubling as a coffee table, 2 amplifiers acting as paper weights, and 4 infinity kappa speakers.

The plan is to sell the subs and amps this summer, but i don't think I'll get much for my 5x7's. They wont fit in my new truck anyways. So, this may seem like a pretty dumb question, but what does it take to convert car speakers into speakers for a home audio system?

Speakers are speakers.  If you want to use car speakers in your home and have an amplifier/receiver that can handle the 4-ohm load, go for it, although you may not really like the way they sound when they are not inside the small spaces of a car and you are sitting more than 3 feet from them.  Me, I use a set of old car stereo coax speakers in my garage to listen to the ball games while I work on things.
