I tried replacing 6.5 speakers in the front door of my 1998 Chrylser Concorde. I replaced them with Polk Audio Db 6.5"'s and the hole is too big (there's nowhere to put the screws). I know i need a spacer of some sort or is there another way without having to find a store that has them? Thanks

Take a ride over to Home Depot & get some MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). Then make yourself some rings. It's a little bit of work, but it'll sound better than plastic store-bought rings.

Yea i have some 1/4 inch mdf i could use. Just wanted to see if there was another route. thanks for the help.

Or if you want to do it the easy way, head over to best buy or circuit city and pick up the brakets. they are like 12 bucks

okay i made some out of mdf and work real well...however..when i hooked up the new speakers no sound is coming from the speaker...only bass

I'm not 100% certain about your car, but many amplified factory systems have a two-way speaker system up front (woofer in door, tweeter in dash). The crossover for these systems is built into the factory amp. The only way to get full range sound from this speaker position is to eliminate the factory amp.
