Subject: crossovers near power distribution?
Date Posted: May 19, 2007 at 2:32 PM

I am working on my amp/crossover/power distribution rack and had a quick question. On one side of the rack, I would like to mount the crossovers for my front component's (Polk SR6500) and rear coaxials (Polk MMC650) along with my fused distribution block for my 3 amps.

My question: With this setup will any noise be introduced into the x-overs due to their close proximity (and same-plane mounting) to the distribution block?

It will basically look like this (obviously with everything centered and leveled):

Thanks in advance for any advice and comments!

No, you will have no issues whatsoever with that.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

You didn't show wiring... Anyway just make sure you don't have signal wires crossing/too close too power/ground wires and you'll be good.

Won't matter... First of all, it's speaker level, and second of all, it doesn't matter with signal wires, either, ala this thread, which links to this thread.

Okay. I read it all. Even though most of it is jibberish to me, you've got me straight!

Thanks haemphyst. Javin

hmm, not to start that going again but that second thread never seemed to come to any conclusion one way or the other actually.
