What box?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Awful small box to try to port for 10" subs, plus depending on what subs you want to put in there, may be too small for sealed 10" subs.

found some subs like the thin pioneers and alpine R and thin sonys that say they'll work in .66 ported

Ok but keep in mind, the air space will be even smaller when you take out for displacement of the sub itself plus the port.

I would not recommend trying to port that enclosure.  It has dual sealed chambers and is way too small for most bass reflex alignments.  Look for a woofer designed to operate downfiring in about 0.5 cuft sealed.

If you are talking about the Kenwood shallow mount woofers like the XW1000F, I cannot tell you if it will work properly in a down-firing application since Kenwood does not see fit to publish complete specs for their woofers.
