im trying to put a new head unit into my EX lancer but after removing the Wire clusters from the back of the lancer's old head unit, there are wires that aint the same colour as the new sony headunit ones.

it needs to go from

(from top to bottom) RED - BLACK - GREEN - BLACK W/ WHITE STRIPE - BLACK WITH YELLOW STRIPE

(left to right) BLACK - YELLOW - RED

does anyone know what should do to what?

i have tried using a voltemeter but thats not working

You need a wire harness for the new deck.

What's not working?  If you tried to identify the wires using a meter and could not figure it out, that simply means you don't know what you are doing.  Read the sticky about identifying stereo wiring and try again, and if you can't figure it our go to an installer for help - and of course if the factory wiring harness is intact BUY AN ADAPTER!!
