Hi guys,

I've did a quite few radio installs before and I have always used striped wires as negative, and solid colors as positive. Today I went to a local electronics store to get a power connector for a reversing camera. The connector will have to be made, so the people there said to use the BLACK/ white as positive and black and negative.

Are they right? I'm just getting confused now.

General rule of thumb is, if the stripe is black it is a negative.  Stripes of any other color are usually positive.
