installing a compustar cm4200 with cansl2 and int-bmw1 in a 2007 bmw 328xi this week.anyone have any tips or knowledge? this is the recommended setup as far as I can tell but few have been done.I have searched for wire colors and locations but have found none.it is a personal vehicle I put together so please do not tell me to go to the dealer or warranty etc,as it does not apply here.I am very familiar with the dei products ,programming etc ie: no engine checking.do you know which harness or wire are absolutely nessasary on the compustar? I am using the data bus cable between the remote start and the modules.can the modules be wire in line via databuus? any help appreciated .

Only the power harness on the module is RS232 is via data. All the outputs and inputs on the CANSL2 need hard wiring for the BMW. Very basic installation especially with the CANSL2 doing 75 % of the installation. The required connections are all the ones on CN1 harness.

2007 BMW 3 Series Note(s): Firmware 10.0 or newer with INT-BMW1 required

all installed this am ,but not without any glitches.programmed the remote , cleaned up some wiring.door locks trunk etc all work well , car cranks but will not start.I believe it has to do with the can-sl2 .I tried the programming sequence a number of times with no sucess also double checked my wiring ( no smart key so wound the wirs around key and tumblers.it appears its not learning the key? light on cansl2 just keeps flashing. any assistance woul be very helpful thanks

Leave key in the ignition and see if vehicle stays running after remote start. If it does then it's the immobilizer bypass that is not working or installed properly.

Violet is on the switch loom, colours (from memory) are RED / Green and RED / Blue 12V+ power supplies, and light Green ign 1, Violet or Purple acc BUT in this case it's used as ign 2, BLACK/ Blue start. These are the only relevant cables

well turns out its up and running, started fresh today.compustar cn1 harness only gets 12v and ground,cansl2 gets hardwired wired into compustar then bmw int1 gets data linked to compustar the wired to brake switch , key and barrel get wire wrapped for bypass.many thanks to velocity motors pointed me in the right direction after a long day.
