Mike, I bought one of your DB-PFK bypass kits and installed it per the instructions provided. I double checked every connection. When I tried to program the kit I followed the instructions carefully. It did not work, as now neither of my keys work. The security light flashes quickly when I attempt to use either key. How do I get my car started again?????

I looked at kickyride and there is not much to look at so I didnt see a DB-PKF. If you need some help, provide soem more details like what vehicle you are working on, and anything else helpful.

Chances are the module is a PKF version of the bypasskit.com module. Make sure of all your connections on the PKF and also it is important to have the ground and the IGN wires in the proper places on the harness.

I had an idea it might be a Ford. If it is, and your wires are all intact, you may just have to wait a little while for your keys to work again.

PKF is installed incorrecly, If all else fails, unhook it and reconnect the wires you cut, and your keys will work again.  Double check the PKF connections, it sounds like you have two of the wires backwards.  What year and model Ford is it??

Nevermind, This is a 01 Sport Trac....  Make sure you have the correct wires on the wire you cut, I think its pink/wt goes on the switch end, and pink on the vehcile end.  Check ground, and ignition wires also.  If you have a DVOM, make sure you have an igntion wire on the unit.  Please post how it turns out.

I have checked all the wires and they are as the instructions indicate. The PFK orange wire goes to the GREEN / WHITE, the violet PFK wire to a light RED / green wire (thicker gauge then the other 3), the power is a gray/orange wire and that is cut and the pink wires are hooked up right, the ground BLACK/ white was tested and is hook up to the black wire. I disconnected the plug and tested for continuity from the plug to the end where it plugs into the PFK module and all wires check out. When I disconnect everything my keys work. Plug the unit back in and the theft light flashes and the car doesn't start even with the keys.

Make sure your not getting a constant ground on the brown wire to the PKF, try hooking everything up except that wire, and try your keys.  Let me know if that works, and well go from there.

On the unit I bought the brown wire plugs into my Omega unit's red 3 port. It sopplied a ground when the autostart is activated. Tech at Kickyride has suggested that my RED / green wire is the true power wire and I will try that hook-up tonight and will post the results.

Tried taking the power from a RED / green wire to the pink wires on the PFK as suggested by Kickyride. Now the remote start will operate once, after I cycle the two keys, but never more than that. Just like the 555F did. The "theft" light flashes rapidly the one time it will start, and then again as it tries to start again after I have stopped it. Suggestions from anyone??
