As per the subject, the vehicle is a 2004 Lincoln Aviator. I installed a Command Start CS495i into the vehicle using an Idatalink ADS-TB. Everything worked great except the customer returned saying that his "Door Ajar" indicator was always on, and the dome light remained on constantly.
I wired my RAP shutdown/Factory Arm relay into CSM located under the passenger side D pillar, as per the diagram. After seeing the vehicle, I could not get the indicator to come on, and the vehicle functioned normally.
Looking for some input or someone who has had this problem before. All I could find was a Ford tech bulletin regarding sticky latches in the cold/wet weather. The customer dismissed this idea, and continues to say its my problem.
Thoughts?

Unless the problem comes back, it's not your problem. Hard to fix a problem or trouble shoot when the problem isn't there to solve. The only thing that comes close to what your having problems with was a 2008 Pilot where I forgot to hook up the key sense wire and the dome lights stayed on after remote start.

Of course.....typical customer, It's allways your problem. As Jeff states. Fixing a problem that cannot be duplicated is very difficult to do. And Jeff, in the Astrochart for this vehicle they show "needing" to break the keysence with a relay during remote start? Any idea why? -------------

It is entirely possible that the wire you ran to the door trigger, to turn off RAP, is intermittently shorting to ground.
Especially if you ran it all the way to the passenger-rear of the car, there are many places where the wire could be getting pinched.
The tech sheet on that car is riddled with timewasters, and all necessary wires are available in the driver's-front area of the car.
I think it would be very much worthwile to pop off a few panels, inspect the entire length of that wire, and look for breaks or cuts....you never know.
If it gets to the point where it has to go into the dealership for service, I would disconnect your wire from the car, so the dealer can concentrate on troubleshooting just the car itself, independent of the remote starter.

Great respsonses. Will definitely check the wires for cuts or breaks, always a possibility. Tried looking for similar wires in the front area, really limited success. Was able to take lock and unlock in the driver boot, but really tough to work in for adding a breaking relay.  Checked a vafriety of junction blocks in the area, no success either. So in the end decided to head to the CSM for all the wires. Unfortunately I wish I could post a resolution for others in the future but the customer has decided to remove the entire system (sigh). And in response to your question Kartuneman, I believe it recommends you interrupt the keysense because the vehicle will not allow the key to be removed when under Idle Mode/Convenience Mode, nor will it allow the doors to be locked when the ignition is on. It would unlock normally for me here, but if I unlocked it with the remote start engaged, it would not relock. One of these reasons may be the reason for that relay.
