Here's another avenue of the CAN-bus nightmare.  I just did an 07 Grand Cherokee.  I used a 561R and a 556U.  Got everything hooked up properly and now I have an air bag light on, tried disconnecting the battery, nothing.  Still there.  And I have the occasional "programming active" notice in the cluster, like it's trying to program another key.  Anyone got any insight to this nightmare?  Remote start works great with exception of light and notice.  This is the first chrysler to "get me".

What did you use for resistance values for your MUX wires ?

As far as the programming light goes, when you remote start the vehicle it sees the key you have installed into the 556U. When you shut it down and start the vehicle the key outside of the 556U, it sees a new key and will go into programming. Airbag lights that come on during remote start are usually a sign of incorrect ignition harness wiring. Since there is 1 ignition and a MUX wire in here, I'd go with Jeff on this one and look at the MUX interface you used. Relays and resistors, right? double check the resistance and timing. Whats activating the relays? Ground When Running or (-)ignition?

I used relays and resistors, i cut the MUX wire and measured my resistance on the wire in the on and crank position, and applied the proper resistors.  As far what is activating the relays, i used the (-) 2nd Starter and the (-) 2nd accessory.  Ground when Running was used for the 556U and the other status wire was used for the keysense.  The program light makes sense to me now.   I hear the best interface that these new Chryslers like is the PKCHU2 from bypasskit.

I use the xk532 flashed to the pkchu2 firmware. Works great. One more thing, I don't have a tech sheet in front of me, but does this vehicle have a starter wire? I know some of the new Chrysler's don't so there might be some issues with that too.

the xk532 can not be flashed to a pkuch2 they are two different modules. the starter wire is pink/orange
