I just installed a remote start and keyless on my 03 Toyota Sequoia. Everything functions properly, except the horn blows when I remote start with the doors locked. I tried connecting the pulsed ground output of the remote start unit to the lock detection wire in the drivers door. I also tried connecting to the body computer, to no avail. Still blows the horn unless I unlock the doors first. All the instruction here are for 01-02 and 04-05. Any suggestions?

Connect the ground out when running wire from the remote start to the keysense wire at the ignition harness YELLOW /GREEN (-). If you are already using the ground out when running for your bypass module diode isolate it.

Alternatively you can program the remote start to unlock before start and lock after start if it supports this feature.

I'll look again, but I dont think I have a YELLOW /GREEN wire at the ignition switch.

If the color is wrong you can still find the keysense wire with a DMM and look for the wire that goes to ground when the key is inserted.

The keysence is in a small 2 wire plug, next to the main harness.

GregK nailed it!

Found the wire. Still honks though. Could I be using the wrong output on the remote start? I'm using one that states, "wire will provide a 1 second 250 mA pulsed ground output 1.5 second before the remote start unit activates as well as when the transmitter is used to disarm the system."

You need the wire that is labelled ground out when running, or something like that depending on the remote start you're using. What is the make/model of the remote start? Once we know that we can likely tell which wire it is exactly.

I'm using the Audiovox Prestige APS-620

Tried the BLACK/ blue, BLACK / YELLOW, and both.

Found it. Installation says the BLACK/ blue is used to disble factory alarm, but it didn't work. I used the light blue and it works. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Use the light blue wire. If you are using it on the bypass module already use the same wire to the keysense wire and diode isolate the two.
