Hi folks. New poster that's having some issues with my remote starter and stumbled upon the forum. My issue is with the Bulldog Deluxe 500. Specifically, I'm having a problem with the remote. The starter button on it no longer works. Every other button is fine, but when I hit the one button that needs to work, the remote doesn't beep and nothing happens.
Just curious if anyone has had a similar issue. I'm guessing the remote's junk and I'll need a new one, but I figured I'd see if anyone else had any suggestions before I blow $50 on a new one.

Have you taken the remote apart and checked for broken solder joints? If it does not have a mechanical switch on it remove the rubber pad from the top of it and clean the pad in warm water and clean the contacts on the board with a pencil eraser. Do not put the board in the warm water. Only the rubber pad, and dry it completly before reassembling it.

You can buy replacement remotes for as little as $15 - you'll have to program it to your "brain box" anyway-- do a google search
