Ok I know this is going to sound like a dumb question but … is there any real difference between the Compustar P2W9000FMR that is made for Canada vs. the US other than the frequency? And would there be any issue in installing it in a GM car?
I just can’t seem to find a P2W9000FMR for decent price in the US.
Any help will be appreciated.

both units are the same from what i know. its just that back then compustar would make one unit with auto or manual tranny setting with the cut of a jumper. now canada has auto or manual made unit specific.

Ummm Canadians have to AUTO feature and US versions do not.

AUTO has three settings, this is like a geofence. Once entering the fence it will unlock your car when exiting it will lock you car. =P

www.compustar.com has a dealer locator where you can break it down by pro dealers and then make some calls.

There is a pro dealer around the corner from me but living here in the US they don’t get many questions about Canada products and really wasn’t much help.
I am generally going off the price. Can’t seem to find one here in the US that will sell a unit for any less than 500, but did find a dealer in CA that sells for under 300. I am cheap posted_image

Generally speaking the range are better on the Canadian models because we don't have as strict of FCC regulations on frequency emitting devices compared to the US. The PRO series are one of the best systems that I've installed. Very installer friendly if your use to installing Compustar, but a headache if you don't have the option programmer.
