Hello, I would like to know what is the best 2-way remote starter right now with security.  I am looking for the one with the longest range not the most expensive.  Thank You.

everyone has their opinions on the "best" 2way. I always say the compustart pro line, but you can alwas go the Code Alarm SRT 9000.

The longest range and not the most expensive don't really go together.

You'll pay thru the nostrils for Compustar pro.... but you can get a rear end load of range.

Anything less expensive will have less range!

I would love for someone to do an independent test on the "long range" starters and see who really has the longest range.  At my store i have tried both the viper and code and only got 4 tenths of a mile with the viper and 7 tenths with the code.

I have tested a Compustar SS at almost 6000 feet. Straight line of sight. Quite impressive. But it's not for me.

I personally don't need to control MY car from over a mile away!

yeah... the compustar kills the competition on range for sure... but like he said.... u wanna control your car starter from the moon??? i don't know about that one.... but the two way is definitely practical... i have an audiovox prestige 996 on my truck and it works great..... but most people hate audiovox with a passion even though that srt9000 is an audiovox platform...lol... anyway... like i tell my customers.... find the system with the features and value u need.. and make sure u get a solid installl... half the time these things only work as good as they are installed anyway....

there can be only one.......

Doesn't the added range of the unit also allow for greater building and interferance penetration?

That is why I want the one with the best range.  Here in the city you will be lucky if it reaches up the block where the jeep is parked.

One of my friends showed me this one.  Is it junk? But I think I like the feature of having the cabin temp that compustar offers.

I have installed several Ultra Start 3265 - they advertise 1 mile and my customers love them!
