Been told that it cannot be done due to the door locks??

Any help would be appreciated.

I wish the astro program was able to copy and paste.....but they have ALL the back doors closed and locked.

Astro's tech info is tops.

Sorry I'm late on this one, usual internet problems but I noticed something on Gary's chart, this vehicle is almost identical to the E46 3 Series but that uses a blue/red to unlock, also on the E46 both are neg pulse and extend  lock for total close. N.B. Trunk contact should be WHITE/ brown and hood purple green at factory hood switch, glove box removal not required, pick-up lock wires from drivers door return into kickwell. Brakelights, please check for voltage at switch, its data going on the E46 so you have to pick up in floor looms BLACK/ blue and BLACK/ green (can't remember centre brake colour)

Curious..... whats the deal with the parking lights?  Diagram says OPEN????

The second wire mentioned with the ign 2 is the accessary??

The OPEN on parking lights wire means when you cut the wire the lights will turn on, so you would need to use a relay for this, second ign means the car needs to see 2 ign signals to properly start the car.

Are you sure you wanna tackle this job? Its not that easy on this one.

what makes it hard?  the questions that youve answered or something i havent got to yet? share ya knowledge man.  lol

Also per the diagram that kartunes put. it hasa ign 1 then ign two then has a another wire mentioned. Should i relay a third ignition? also there is no mention of an accessary so cut that wire?

The hard bit is that the purple acc from the ign switch is your 2nd ign, take R/S acc to purple on radio and relay break to allow acc when in R/S mode, also if you use a transponder bypass such as DEI 556U that requires a key ONLY use the grey VALET key and wire it following the instructions for European cars (I know it's made in the US and the transponder is probably Lear not Siemans)

last one.... How do you wire the relay for the parking lights?

If you wanna put a remote starter in a 2006 BMW and do not know how to wire a relay, I would say your in for trouble. Not saying that you cannot do it, but this question is the reason I said what I did the first time.

Buts here is the way, wire the parkeing leads after you cut them to the normally closed contacts on the relay, then use your parking light wire from you remote start to energize the coil on the relay, if you have a 12+ from the unit you need to ground the other side, if you have a neg output you must supply a fused 12+ to the other side of the coil..

from the questions you are asking, you really shouldn't be doing this. Your 2nd ign output from the R/S goes to the purple wire on the ignition lead.

Ive never seen on a sheet "OPEN" usually it positive or Negitive. I can wire a really. I did say i was curious so im asking questions im not doing ths car. but I thought id ask before that car comes sailing threw the shop and it catches one of our guys by surprise. . No one has done EVERY car, but some have done these (rare cars in our shops case) cars muiltple times that can share information.  bare with me guys.  lol.

Then why do you think a relay has normally open and normally closed contacts?

Howie has done almost EVERY car. At least from that side of the world.

If the 06 is the same as the 07..... locks (so I have read) cannot be done. They are sealed in the drivers door switch.
