If i only have one ignition in my car, i dont need to use ig2 right? and if i dont use ignition 2 do i need to use the red and white 12v connection? and if i use the red and white 12v and do not have ig2 hooked up will it cause a problem?

It would help if you posted year/make/model...but as a general principle when doing a remote start you should think about what wires need to be poweRED / grounded on the car, not what wires from the remote start need to be connected.

If you have a 2nd acc. on your car use the pink/white ig2 for that and program it to run as 2nd acc. instead of 2nd ign.
If you don't have 2nd acc., tape the wire off and forget about it.
