Hello, I was hoping that someone could tell me if the white wire that comes off the brain for a Clifford Supernova 2 alarm needs to be connected to anything. Also, I found a replacement remote for the alarm by matching circuit board #s to an FCC ID# and have programmed following the owner's manual and it goes as planned (press momentary switch X number of times, then press button 1, wait three secs for a chirp, turn ignition off) but alarm does nothing. Any suggestions?

The white wire is probably an antenna wire, guessing about 6-8" long and wired directly into the side of the casing. This product is at least 15 years  old and if I remember rightly it's not programmed in the normal mannner, i.e. flick valet switch 13 times then press the button, you have to cut and solder connections off the chip, i.e. copy the original.
