Hi guys,

The door trigger wire (blue color near ignition harness) for the 08 Sienna as indicated at the site does not test. Does anyone know exactly where this wire is?

To the left of the radio is a switch for the interior lights. Pop that panel out and it's the blue wire on the switch....

Thanks for your response, Mike. I will give it a try and post my result.

Will it work if the interior light is turned off?

Hi Mike,

I did as you suggested and it shows 12 Volt on my multimeter before and after I press the door switch.

Do you know if there is wire near the driver kick panel that I can use?

Thanks.

Did you say "near" or "in" ignition harness?

The wire is IN the ignition wiring harness, coming down from the steering column, with all the other wires.

I can't remember 100% if it's blue or not.

But at the key cylinder, you'll see that it lights up, and the plug only has maybe six wires or so.

The domelight wire is one of the wires in that plug.

If you leave the ignition switched on while you open and close the door, you can do your testing faster, because the domelight will go out right away and you won't have to wait for the delay to time out.

The blue wire will show 12volts positive when the door is shut, that's normal. It should go to ground when the door gets open....

Thanks guys. I was looking at the blue wire located within the same connector as the horn wire under the steering column and it did not test.

I'll check the Ignition wiring harness next. It's probably not blue as I did not find it before.
