OK wierd.  I am hooked up to the wire in each kick panel like they tell me to do.  But after the FIRST arming - 50 mins into it triggers and indicates (Viper 5900) the doors opening.  But reset it and it is fine all night.  Now this morning the same thing.  Drive to work, set it - 50 mins later it is going off.  I reset it and I predict it will be fine.

Do I need to put diodes in this set up?  I would hate to have to disable the door system.

Viper 5900      2003 Ford F150 Harley Edition

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I went through this with my F250 and it took 8 diodes. The module shuts down, and the voltage from the line drops from ~12v to ~4.5v. The alarm reads this drop as a door opening. So you have to isolate the alarm wire and the door triggers.

Read over this thread, there is a diagram there. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=106764&KW=reax222

Now, the door locks were positive trigger and not neg, and I think I had issue with the direction of the diodes, but I got it to work.
