I am installing a Clifford RSX 3.3X (Viper 5701) on a 2004 Infiniti G35X. I am having an issue where if I hit the aux button (trunk output), the trunk opens but that instantly triggers the alarm. Is there a configuration menu that I am missing to set the alarm to disarm before activating the trunk output? I realize I could just hit disarm, then the trunk, but I'd think there would be a way to make the system automatically do this. It seems silly that the system wouldn't disarm the trunk pin when you tell it to open the trunk.

ringojam is right as usual, change the setting of that aux output to only work when alarm is off. Alternatively,if you can't use RED / white, use another aux and reprogramme the remote control button to operate that aux.

There is not a programming setting for the dedicated trunk output, just the Aux 1/2/3 channels. I didn't want to hook the trunk into Aux 1/2/3 just because of the fact I'm lazy and don't want to have to do the extra button press of function, then Aux :) I had my window rollup/rolldown programmed into Aux 1 and 2 already though. In good news though, for whatever reason, once I hooked up my key transponder bypass, this issue went away. My alarm doesn't go off when I open the trunk when armed now. Thanks Guys.

I guess I have another random question. What way do you guys mount this antenna? The manual doesn't state anything about which orientation it should be. I mounted it parallel to the windshield at the top. So basically the antenna is pointed horizontal with all the cord running along the headliner.

I install them pointing down. Compustar ant are run horizontal, but the techs keep telling me to mount the DEI ant up and down.

Has anyone tried to see the difference with the DEI ones? If I don't get the range I like, its pretty easy to switch it I guess. Thanks for the info megaman. Does it matter pointed up or pointed down? Or should it just be vertical in some fashion?
