We recently bought a used 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. It has power locks, but not keyless entry. We are trying to install a keyless entry system we bought, and the trunk pops, but we cannot find the lock and unlock wires. I have the diagram that says they are light blue and white, and are located in the drivers kick panel. Somewhere I think I read they were in a 16 pin? Not sure what that means. Anyways, my husband found the 16 pin, and there are like 3 light blue wires, and 3 white wires. So we have no idea which ones are the lock/unlock. Can anyone help us with this?? It would be greatly appreciated. My husband has spent the last two days on this, and it's starting to get cold here. I would like it in and my car put back together. Thanks again!!

He may have to use a volt meter to identify the correct wire.

Set the meter to the DC Volts setting, to 20 volts DC if it is not an autoranging meter. Touch and hold the red meter lead to a known 12 volt source. Touch the negative meter lead to one of the wires in question, lock or unlock the doors, depending on what color wire you are looking for. The correct wire will make the meter read near 12 volts when locking or unlocking the doors.

Thank you for this information. I am going to have to try it tomorrow. It's dark now and very cold outside. Thanks again! I appreciate it.
