Is the toggle switch flipped the wrong direction? is the hood pin keeping it from starting?

the 550esp is an older unit that uses actual relays, some installers run 10ga wire from under the hood right off the battery for power to the relay satelite. have you checked that out? there will be a fuse at the battery to protect this wire, if it was installed that way.

but that wouldn't explain the parking lights that aren't working

but it really pack has power as well

i wondered because you've covered the bases pretty well. do you know which wire off the unit is the wire that can be used to trigger the remote start from some other unit? if you find that and try to trigger it and it starts then your problem is not the remote start itself, but maybe the remote.....

problem is it is a data cable 5 wires have to be triggered at diffrent times and i don't want to mess any thing up by doing it but after looking at the system i think the problem between the remote and and the out put to the relays

huh?......those arent dataposted_image. those are just low voltage grounds that trigger the relays. im not talking about thoses anyway. im talking about the wire that activates the remote start with an external source, find that wire.

i don't get what your talking about the remote start is activited by the remote

the 550esp can also be triggered by an external source like another keyless unit or anything that has a neg output. find that wire and ground it.

ok, i had you find that wire and ground it because if you did and then the remote start started, that would mean there is nothing wrong with it, but probably the transmitter. but since it didnt start.......the problem is the remote start.
