I would chech the brake switch and make sure that the R/S is not backfeeding a reference voltage into the car. If you have around five volts on the brake wire it may not turn on the lights, but might freak out the cruise. It might also be a good idea to see if you unplugged anything near teh steering column accidentially.

If you don't see anything, you can try a hard reset on the car.

Key on, unplug positive battery terminal, turn key to crank position for 30 seconds, put positive terminal back on. Chryslers are prone to freaking out from time to time, and sometimes a good reset is all they need.

good luck.

Also, I have seen aftermarket tail lights cause this problem. Especially LED taillights.

I haven't done a 300c in a few years, but when the 300c first came out they didn't have the modules that interfaced with the MUX wire and you had to use relays/resistors. If the resistance on the MUX wire was not close enough, it could cause issues with the cruise control. I would check that first.

Check the voltage on the MUX wire when starting by key, compared to when starting it by remote start.
