I installed an Audiovox remote starter in my 93 Toyota Camry XLE (6 Cyl). I programmed the tech and the unit confirmed that it learned the tech. The problem is that when I try to start using remote starter, the starter tries to start the car but it does not start. Does anyone knows if I there is any factory module that I need to bypass? Everything else like door lock/unlock, interior light supervision and parking lights work fine.

Could you maybe have ignition 1 and 2 switched?

I found the problem last night after I post the initial message. The remote starter's factory default setting was 'IGNITION 2 OFF DURING CRANK' . When I changed it to ignition 2 on during crank, it worked. By the way does it matter if I accidently switched the ignition 1 and 2 wires? since both wires were of the same guage and my assumption is that in my car both turn on at the same time. Also if anyone knows about what Ignition 2 wire does in 93 camry? Does Ignition two relay have to come on to start the car? I am asking these questions because I still think that I may have switched the two wires.

On my Tacoma, it would not crank when the wires were switched.
