hi you guys, I currently owned a Nustart 8000r two way start/alarm lcd combo. (very similar to compustart 2way pager)

My question is, How do I properly connect my DEI Proximity sensor (508D)

the proximity came with 4 wires
+ (pos)
- (neg)
warn (outer zone) green wire i think
alarm (inner zone) blue wire

anyways, do I just directly tap this wires to my shock sensor wire and go by color codings? red to red black to black and so on?

I'm really eager to get this damn thing installed but I just wanna make sure I know what I'm doing, Plus here in canada, right now its just about MINUS FREAKING 30! you should be frozen in just a few minutes, my little garage with poor insulations is a lil help but still... so please please help.

the red and black wires, you can connect together but the trigger wires need to be diode isolated so you don't get false alarms due to feedback from the sensors. You will need four 1N4001 diodes, connect the cathode (band end) towards the sensor and the other end towards the alarm. You need to do this for all four trigger wires. Once done, adjust as usual and you're all set.

First i wanna thank you for your reply, but can you please be more specific how to set it up?

so basically you meant to say, each sensorS will have a diode (blueS and greenS = 4 diodes) leading to the alarm unit?

[Shock Sensor] --- diodes --------------->Alarm Mail Unit
    /
[Proxy Sensor] --- diodes -------/

Is this correct?

whoops, i meant

[Proxy sensor]--diodes--- taps to the shock sensor wires AFTER the shock sensor's diodes, right?

Sorry, I a novice at electrical stuff.

here is an example, you need to do this with both warning and alarm triggers. pic only shows one.
