DLPK or PKUCH2X(bypass only).

IMy supplier told me that those two modules won't work, he got in the phone with the people from directed and according to him, the module for this truck is not ready yet. I'm not sure wich is the FOB key, but as I didn't have the module for the bypass, I installed a Viper 1002 on these trucks, the key that they have it is not as usual keys, when you insert it in the sw, you have to push it in, and if you disconect the harness from the sw, it won't release the key, kinds of get's locked in., all the wiring info from directech document's were accurate, couldn't install the 5900 that the customer wanted. But according to the xpresskit page, that's the one, hope someone helps clarify this.

a non fob key has a metal blade that you insert into the key cylinder a fob key is all plastic the end of the key is about the size or the end of your thumb you insert and turn it it uses the transponder to allow the vehicle start the fob is a generic size and it is not cut like a conventional key if that makes sense https://superiorsportsinvestments.com/2008300c

The one's I did, had the metal blade cutted as normal key, with the only difference that right where the metal starts had a plastic square that fits into the key cylinder, that's what it looks different., but if this is a normal key, it should work with any od these modules DLPK or PKUCH2X correct?

Just a suggestion, since I haven't done an '09 Ram yet, but is this one by chance a 2500/3500 of the old body style?

well i pulled the dash down for the ram and it does have a fob style box this key seems to be whats used if you get a vehicle with no keyless entry if you look at the shoulder of the key it is the same physical size as the fob style the customer was not interested in allowing me to be adventurous

I just bought an 09 ram and have been looking for alarm wiring info on it. Here's the deal, FYI, the 2009 RAM 1500 is a totally different truck than the 2008. The 2009 RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks are the same as the 2008 (these two are getting re-designed next year). So it's very important that you specify which 2009 ram you are talking about. The 2500 and 3500 being the same as 2008 models will have the old normal sentry key. The 2009 ram 1500, most of them use a new fob key (without metal 'key' part) with factory remote features built in. But, the base trim in the ram 1500 (ST package) still uses a bladed sentry key, but the rest of the wiring should be the same as the other 2009 1500 rams. Hope that helps clear things up. Also, does anybody know if there's an expresskit for the new ram 1500 yet?

So that means that it should work as the 2008? with the 556CW? I really didnt wanted to test on this truck's because they were from a company, but they didn't had keyless entry module, actually they were manual, had to add door lock actuators and electric window conversion kits.

The PKUCH2X bypass will not work with th e smart key. Maybe if you use the starscanner to do it.

Disclaimer; only posting this info for a do-it-yourselfer who may be looking for this kind of info as I was. Couldn't find it anywhere, so I figured it out on my own. A pro would probably not do it this way.
I put my basic $30 keyless entry kit in the other night. My truck is a 2009 ram 1500 ST (base trim) of the new design (4th generation- as I said the 2500 and 3500 are still 3rd gen and I would think should be the same as the 2008s). It is base trim, but still has power locks and windows. I had acquired a lock diagram from a 2008 1500, mine is similar, but different resistor values. Didn't want to pay for an interface, which may or may not be available. Since it's my own truck, I did some dissecting of switches to figure out how to clone them. Coming from the passenger door switch is a purple wire with green stripe. This is the lock signal wire. grounding this wire through a 330 ohm resistor will lock the doors, grounding it through a 100 ohm resistor will unlock the doors. Coming from the headlight switch is a pure white wire, this is the headlight output. Grounding this wire through a 1.146 kilo ohm resistor will turn the parking lights on. No relays are necessary, since these are all just signal wires with no draw. just use a plain old fashioned negative trigger kit with the correct resistors at the wiretaps.

yes the new chrysler vehicles use a newer generation of sentry keys. the expresskit line has the new chrysler gen II can bus . part # is PKcan or dlpkki ch3 for 09 and up chryslers . it also works stuff like the door locks and sometimes the gas door lid and trunk depending on the vehicle. ive used them on two 09 rams with no problems that i cantell as they are self programming. hope this helps

these kits wont work i had one in the shop today unfortunatly the kich3 has the chip piece in it for the 08 that you put in the box but that piece is totally different on the 09 base model they also told me there is no safe way to wire the relay pack up to it without that integation piece the only way i have found how to do it is with a factory rs kit its about 240 from dodge but it will still control the door locks and everything else
