Idid a 08 Ford Fusion today with a Ultra Start. Used the XK04 with the PKFORD software. I cannot get that module to program. I have read about some other troubles with the newer Fords. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong or if any one has had the same trouble how did you correct it.. Thanks in advance...

i have tried using the XK04 on 2 different 08' ford with no success. 07' models work fine. One was a lincoln town car and other a f-150. i'm not sure why it doesn't work. there is an addendum from DEI to add a relay to ground the TX wire on the module, although this is to prevent the module from sometimes losing memory. On any new fords now, i just use KEY-OVERIDE ALL from Fortin. Connections are essentially the same and i have never had any problems.

you need to flash the module to PKF3 1.00 not the original one thats why it does not work
