anyone have a more comprehensible wiring than the one listed on the vehicle wiring link for a 2000 mitsubishi montero sport?

having problems locating some wires on the fuse box.

also, this vehicle requires an immobilizer bypass.  is there one available that does not require a key?  anyone have any sucess with one?

thanks,

terry

What are you looking for? I've done Shoguns and Pajeros which are the same vehicle in different markets.

trying to find the lock / unlock wires and whether or not i need to diode these wires from a valet 570t.

also, where's the best place to pick up the wire for parking lights?  i tried at the switch, but couldn't get the connector out to test.

the wiring instructions say that there's a 2 wire connector on the front of the fuse box (green with white strip)...  but all i found was a 2 wire connector with green with red.

Two ways, bottom of fuse box, white plug, three wires,  black, BLACK/ white and BLACK/ something, negative, no diodes required, or motor leads at loom to door, check in each case (the UK version has the plug at bottom of fuse box, the Jap version is data and the last one I did I had to use the motor wires as 5 wire system that was a Jap 2000 model). I stripped the chip from the key and mounted  (glued it)  vertically to antenna ring on ignition switch. NOTE position is critical. We do indicators (hazards) over here but the colour for running lights is GREEN/ something, look in floor looms and again test. The light feeds at the switch are data, you won't get them there. greenm/red should be all the door and tailgate contacts, the other colour on that plug being either WHITE/ something or RED / something. Best place to pick up tach would be behind the instrument panel behind the tach guage OR one of the injector plugs, any one, look at the wire colours that AREN'T common to all. LASTLY if you have the switch panel in the driver's door which stays live for about 1 minute after removing the key, DO NOT ATTEMPT a window close. (It cost me £500 about $700 in new motors)

the only fuse box i found was a small fuse box near the driver side kick panel, towards the firewall.

it had a red box on the back of it, which i assume is the controller for most of the accessories.

the only connectors i found were -

side - 24 pin connector  and a 30? pin connector

front (on the same side of where the fuses plug in) - 24 pin connector, 26 pin connector, 1 pin connector, 2 pin connector, and a bunch of wires coming out from behind the fuses (6 on each side).

back - a bunch of connectors (didn't count them)

so, you're saying that the door wirs are on the side connectors?  the problem is that so many wires duplicate in color.  not just one wire.

maybe the GREEN/ red is the parking light wire. (2 pin connector)

i found the test connector in the engine bay for the tach signal.  1 wire spade connector.  tracked the rpms perfectly.
