I have one of the newer EX-1 systems in my possession, the dealership installer at work gave me the basic wiring connections that need to be made - power, horn, door trigger, but is there other connections to be made. The car this will be going into is a 1996 Nissan Quest GXE with factory security.

Thanks!

Now I know why the system isn't triggering, the Karr guy at work(the new GM let him go today) told me all I needed to do was hook up the brown and BROWN / white together to the door trigger. When I hit the van, nothing happens. I do hear the brain clicking. That means I'll need to hook up the green wire to whichever one will trigger the factory system then.

Nope nope not at all now I know which system this is he gave you the new HP3 Green system lol I know exactly hot it works ok
12v-red
Ign-yellow(only 1 of them cause I know there is 2 of them
Ground-Black
Now also hook up the long solid brown wire to ground also, now use the long BROWN / WHITE wire to trigger your factory alarm and that does the job,I guarantee that you need none of those like 20 wires that are on there those are for dealer mode alarms and if yóur alarm does not trigger still you will need to program a feature on the alarm for a extended pulse but from what I know Nissans never need a extended pulse. So let me know

I'll redo it and and post back. How about programming this thing - I have the dealer master remote in my possession as well.

There is nothing you will have to program on it. Just get everything hooked up. With the ignition off, the green led will flash. Arm the factory alarm as normal...allow the alarm to set up for 30 seconds, and then hit your steering wheel...if the alarm goes off, then it is hooked up correctly.

I have green and BROWN / white hooked up to door trigger, while brown and black are grounded. There are 2 BROWN / whites in the harness though.
