Does anyone know how to isolate the door lock buttons on a '05 Tahoe so that pushing the lock button on the door (twice) will not start the vehicle?
Thanks

That would all depend on the Make/Model of R/S-alarm system you are installing and how you're integrating it.

Using a DEI 561t remote start w/ factory remotes. 2 pulses on the remote's lock button remote starts the vehicle. My installers in the past have used a relay and diodes to keep the lock button on the door from starting the vehicles but they're stumped on this one.

Do you want the remote start to only be triggered by the factory remote and not the buttons on the door?

You would want to get the lock output from the OEM keyless module and diode isolate it, then connect your remote start between the OEM module and the diode.

Mark Mizenko maybe correct. If so, you will need to determine the polarity and appropriately install the diode in-line, between the K/E and the door lock relay. You will receive your signal for R/S, between the diode and the K/E.

However, I'm not familiar with that factory K/E module. It may be a multiplexed or data output to the BCM or a door lock/unlock module. In that case, you're in for some module disassembly, diagnostics, and soldering.

loneranger is correct. door lock is databus output to the BCM. It won't be a simply relay or diode job.

You could at least program the 561T for three pulses instead of two.

That would make it a little less likely for the car to start by accident when someone's locking the doors.
