I am installing this alarm system in my Opel Calibra. I am not sure what "parking light input" wire stands for? My best shot is that's the input for enabling remote engine starting only when the transmition is in parking position.

If that is correct, as I have manual transmition, I could use that input for the transmition neutral position sensing (trough the hall switches), and also parking brake "up" sensing, right?

Thank you for your answers & opinions!

I forgot to put the link to the installation manual for the M9000 alarm, so here it is. Sorry :)

Parking light is the lights on the vehicle. This connection goes to the vehicles park light circuit so that when the vehicle starts or the lock or unlock command is sent you have a visual confirmation.

No, for that purpose the "12V output to signal light" is used.

The connection that I am reffering to is called "parking light input", and it can be positive OR negative.

That is an assumption, but a near best guess. The circuit in question may be designed for input from the interior E-brake bulb. You would need a flowchart or in-depth diagnostics, for confirmation.

That is possible, with the proper circuit isolation. However, I wouldn't recommend it, as this R/S system doesn't seem to have all the basic safe-guards for a MTS design.

i'm going with Velocity on this one, the parking light input may be to supply the parking light output, hence the reason either polarity could be used, i've done audiovox systems like this, one way to be sure, check to see if there is some other means of switching the polarity of your flash output, if there isn't any visible way, chances are that the input wire you're reffering to will determine polarity. you could also connect this input wire to both polarities (one at a time of course) and meter the parking output to see if it changes according to the polarity of the input wire.
