i just installed after market door locks to my 96 cherokee but the exclusive alarm ex-8000 i believe isnt working the locks. everything on the locks is hooked up right the alarm just doesnt send out the lock/unlock ground i think it might be in the programming but i dont know how do this

How did you wire the relays for the locks? Look here at the 4th diagram:

the relays are hooked up right the alarm was already in the truck before i put in the power locks and if i ground it where the alarm should it works

If you ground What, then it works? The outputs are typically 500ma or less, so you will need relays to make them work.

Or Put a test light or DMM on the outputs from the alarm and see what the polarity of the outputs are.

if i touch a ground to where the alarm hooks up to the relays. i thuoght the alarm output a negative polarity to activate relay

there is no output from alarm positive or negative

I am not familiar with that alarm. What does the manual say about the door lock outputs?

thanks j rilla i got it figured out when the guy installed my alarm i didnt have power locks so he didnt leave the harness for the lock system that hooks to the alarm i went to the local shop and picked one up
