i was wondering if there is any way to disconnect the factory alarm on this vehicle. It is malfunctioning and goes off whenever you lock the vhehicle. It usually goes off for about 15 minutes and there is no way to stop it besides disconnecting the battery. If there is a mod i can unplug or a wire i can cut or ground i would appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Eric

The factory alarm is part of the body control module (BCM). If you unplug the BCM, the headlights, power door locks, courtesy lamps & windshield wipers will become inoperative.

You could purchase & install a bcm from a caravan without the factory security system, but you'd also have to change the door lock switches as they use a different resistance for the multiplex bus.
