I have a customer that wants me to install remote starter on a 08 accent.

I took a look at the car, I noticed that there is a an immobilizer icon on the dash. Can it be possible that this car has a chip in the key.

I did some searching but I don't seem to find a bypass.

It has the original alarm, but I am not worried about that.

Can anyone confirm this?

thanks

Hyundias chipped keys usually have 6 raised tits where you grasp it with your fingers.

Per the Astrochart.. the Canadian Accents have an imobilizer.

I will check the key when I get it, but is there a bypass out there that I can install without taking a key from the customer or do i have to use the key in the box and wrap the ignition barrel method?

thanks

I think the only bypass for hyundai is from ads and needs the dealer to program.(No data overrides).

Most new hyundais require a pats-kia 1 from fortin or as already stated a ring from idatalink. Both will require a dealer scan tool to program and all valid keys are required during programming

Save yourself..... put a key in the box and call it done!
