I have a 2000 Ford Mustang with a clifford RSX3.5 alarm, and I find myself replacing the battery once a day!! Literally some times twice a day, what could be the cause of this?

Sometimes it is the connection inside the remote...(at least this happens w/ some factory and aftermarket fobs)...Just throwing this out...Had a customer that was coming in once or twice a week to buy a battery for her factory remote...After about the 6th time...She asked for help...It was a solder joint inside the remote...Can only assume that it was randomly making connection...What kind of battery does the fob take...Have you checked the voltage on the battery...?

Did a professional shop install it for you! If so, you must have been given some form of warranty, take it back to them and insist on having it replaced and not repaired, after all it's only been a week! Also on your point of the system being brand new, always keep in mind that electronics are never 100% reliable, after all it is made by us humans! If you installed yourself, then maybe you could have someone check the remote for you!

i had that exact model a few units ago... i pounded thru a battery a month, sometimes every 45 days or so.... that is what you should expect... you likely have a bum remote.....
