I currently have an RS-855LCD installed in my car. Quite some time ago, I lost the basic remote, which wasn't a huge deal. But today my LCD remote completely quit working.

The cheapest LCD remote for the RS-855LCD I could find is about $100 with shipping. So, I was thinking maybe it was time for an upgrade. I found the C3-RF525 for only $130, so seems like a no-brainer.

Anyway - how simple would it be to swap the control boxes for these models? It would be pretty cool if I could just unplug the RS-855LCD and plug in the C3-RF525LCD.

Perhaps an installation manual would help me in determining this, but I can't seem to find a PDF of it anywhere, and I don't have a dealer login for AutoPage.

If you cannot find the install manual for either/both on this site you can request the install manuals directly from autopage. i have requested several autopage install manuals in PDF format from e-mailing them the request on the autopage website. Every request I have made I have been sent an e-mail PDF of the requested manual within 1 business day.
