How is it connected...? Really ...just follow each wire and repair the connection...Im assumming they used t-taps...? Why do you think the alarm is causing these problems...You could simply un-plug the alarm...If the car doesnt start you might have to re-attach the starter wire...If the problem persists...Look elsewhere...! DUDE...WHAT IS A 91 DOGE TRUCK...? How do you expect someone to give you notes or advice...?? When you posted this...Wasnt there a window that popped up asking you to please put YEAR,MAKE,MODEL...???

hey high desert, are u high, lol, hey i worked with karr alarms, its like tommy said simply remove the wires or unplug the module, but to be honest alarms dont drain batteries or kill altenators, there would have to be a major current drainfor the alarm to do this and it doesnt, this is just a myth that lazy machanics brought up.

Karr is rebadge Audiovox, that was (or maybe still is?) sold and installed by Southwest Dealer Services in California.
Any Audiovox alarm install guide you can find should give you a pretty good idea of most of the wire colors.
At any rate, as the others said, the first step would be to just unplug the brain and see if your problem(s) go away.
While it's possible for a defective (or improperly installed) alarm to drain a car's battery, I see no way it could damage an alternator.
When it comes time that you want to remove the alarm completely, you'll find that the main brain will be held in place by zip ties, screws, or occasionally Velcro or double-sided tape.
Unfasten the brain so that it hangs down by its wires. Simply follow each wire to where it connects to the wire in your truck, disconnect it, and tape over the wire.
When you get to the thicker starter kill wire, you'll find that the installer cut one of your truck's wires in half, and then connected each half to a relay. Simply cut out the relay and its wiring, and connect the two halves of the Dodge wire back together.
As for a wire connected to the positive terminal of the battery, no idea. Most basic alarm installs wouldn't get their power at the battery....although it's possible that the installer chose to do so for whatever reason.
Again, follow the wire and see where it goes.
