Looking for an installation manual or live link for a Audiovox Pursuit PRO9243. Googled it, to no avail.

Thanks,

Following is for the 9232, the wire colors should be the same.

Thanks.... I for one don't think you're an idiot.

There's a 4 wire connector on the 9232 that does not exist on the 9243, for trunk shunt and who knows what else. Not gonna worry about 'em.

If you're curious, that extra plug with trunk shunt and other wires, that's because the 9232 is designed to work using the car's factory remotes. Those wires tie into the car's doorlock circuit, so the alarm "knows" when the user is locking or unlocking with the factory remotes.

Since your 9243 uses its own remotes, that's why those wires are not included.

Avox just sent me the install and owners manuals.
I will post them in the members downloads area for all to share.
Regrettable this did not help in my getting the chirps to work during arm/disarm.

flhunter-

Did you attempt turning chirps on (top section of the owners manual,  page 5)?    The chirps may just be turned off, and the procedure in the manual may allow you to turn the chirps back on.

I got it working. Had to feed the siren with a relay from the alarm output.
