Hello Folks,

I been a silent reader here in this forum for quite some time and i have question for any expert as I am not sure while i am trying to help a friend of my his compustar 2W8000FMR /2W8000-2nd two way remote just broke and now he is looking to replace those broken one with the new one my understanding with this is i he just need to buy the remotes ?? not the whole set and every thing ? correct me if i am wrong here but if it is the case where can i buy the replacement remote his starter any help is appreciated thanks

Yes, you can purchase the remote control and program it to the system. I'd recommend finding the nearest dealer to your friend. They should be able to sell you a new one. Here's Compustars dealer locator: https://www.compustar.com/dealerlocator/

Which remote do you have now ? The WHITE one or the BLUE one ? They're not cheap to replace and these 8000 series are only available in western Canada. To answer your question, all you need to do is replace the remote and program in the new one and your done.
