I am installing an alarm on a 2007 chevy silverado. It had a factory alarm by Karr. I removed it and plugged my wires into it. my only problem is that it asks for the XK01 by expresskit with 4.00 firmware. I have all of that but you have to hook it up to the violet wire in the obdII scanner plug...However, the violet wire is not there! So where am i supposed to hook up the xpresskit to? or is there another way to hook up the doorlock directly without the kit. Please let me know ASAP! thank you very much

Is this a classic? They made both in 2007, but only the classic is purple. The new body style the data wire is green in pin number 1 at the OBD2 connector...
