I just put a Viper 5701 in a 2008 Nissan Rouge and can not get it to start.  It will start with the key in the ignition and I could not hook up the pink w/white and pink w/black wires on the H3 plug.  I used the XK07 PNK3 module with the install as well.  I also could not find the factory alarm disarm and arm wires.  Is this what is causing the problem?  Can anyone tell me where the wires are.  I tested every wire in the drivers kick panel and could not come up with anything.  I have all the wiring diagrams from this forum for this vehicle.  Maybe I did not test the wires correctly, I dont know.  I am open to any and all advice.

Sounds like you have a bypass problem, i have no personal experience with the vehicle in question but the factory alarm has nothing to do with the remote starting!

So the bypass module should do it all correct?  I should not have to hook up the alarm to the factory disarm wire.  I need some help here folks.

I did read the manuals.  This module is what is recommended by DEI for hooking it up in the Rouge at the time my friend purchased it.

If you have a factory alarm, yes you must connect the FAD wire, but if you didn't, this would not prevent the vehicle from starting, the factory alarm would just sound wen the vehicle starts!

no need to connect FAD in this car, factory alarm will disarm with ignition. When you say it will start with the key in the ignition, are you saying with it just resting in the barrel, or with the key in the barrel AND turned to any position?

It will start with it just resting in the barrel.  It does not make sense.  Any ideas?

Then maybe it does not have the latest firmware uploaded to it or?

Definitly sounds like a immobilizer bypass problem.  Start with the basics.  Did you verify the XK07 has the correct PKN3 firmware?  Did you connect all the wires to their proper locations?  (Ensure you have a good ground connection.  Ensure you have IGN and not ACC going to the XK07 orange wire.  Diode isolate the GWR input if it is shared.)  Did the XK07 program as per the instructions?  Did you try doing the reset on the XK07 and re-programming?

After you get the R/S working the Alarm Dis-Arm in a blue wire in the driver kick panel, in a harness that runs out the frame to the door.  It's a negative pulse that you might only see when you turn the key to unlock in the drivers door.

Good luck!
