I'm a little confused:

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=87504&KW=02+civic says no diodes required for lock or unlock,

while

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=68717&KW=02+civic says diodes are required.

Are the isolating diodes only required for the trigger and not for the door (-) lock/unlock wires? That's how it looks, reading these posts, but looks can be deceiving....

Thanks,

del

In the help at https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=87504&KW=02+civic, Mobilecustoms said

"POWER LOCK WHITE/ BLUE (TYPE B)   IN GRAY PLUG, ABOVE DRIVERS KICK PANEL
POWER UNLOCK WHITE/ GREEN (TYPE B)   IN GRAY PLUG, ABOVE DRIVERS KICK PANEL ..if your unit has straight neg lock outputs hook directly to it
no diodes needed"

I'm wading through the install right now, very straightforward except for this isolation question on the power lock/unlock. Thanks

you should be fine hooking direct... i never isolate the doorlock output anf have never run into any issues.... just wire it as negative....

Kevin,

Everything appears to be working fine. Thanks for your input.
