I am wondering if I can use my factory door keypad to lock/unlock and arm/disarm my alarm (compustar P2WSS) on a Ford F350 crew cab. The way it is set up now, if alarm is armed, and wifey unlocks the door using door keypad, then opens door, alarm goes off. She doesnt seem to like this...no sense of adventure?? According to the wiring diagram, the red and yellow wires from the keypad in the door are the ones I need to tie into, but I dont understand the concept. What is actually happening when you enter the correct code on the keypad and the doors unlock? And what is happening when I press the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons to lock the doors? I guess I need some education...can someone elaborate?
you cant disarm the aftermarket alarm without the remote there isnt any disarm inputs on the alarm brain
all the buttons on the truck are doing is opening the doors and once you do that the alarm senses the door open and triggers the alarm
the 7/8 9/0 butons are to arm the factory alarm only

when you enter the correct code, it unlocks, and disarms the factory alarm. When you lock, it rearms and locsk the doors.
Unfortunatly there is no way to disarm the Compustar by the keypad on the truck. the p2wssr comes with 2 key fobs. one 2way and one 1-way. just give her one of the remotes.
