Are these two actually compatible?  Can you D2D an Idatalink to an Excaliber/Omega remote start/alarm?  Use an Omegalink transponder ring on an Idatalink module?  I get modules from 2 different sources.  One always has the rings and the other always has the modules.  Do they interchange?

You can also check over at www.12voltdata.com, which is Idatalinks forum, you might find more information there.

Omegalink and Flashlogic products are just Idatalink units repackaged. Totally interchangable....

They are interchangeable. Just pay attention to the data port protocol if you want to use it D2D. Also, each differing brand has different connectors for the data port so watch out for that too. Some CAN be used on others that sort-of fit. If you go wire to wire, there'll def be no problem.
