So ive got 2 vehicle's that I am doing Prestige Aps-57's on for a family friend. One is a 00 Blazer and the other is a 01 S10. I have successfully wired both remote starts and have wired the xk06 bypasses with the plxr firmware. When programing the xk06 i get to the last step where you learn the resistance code and they just won't program ive used several xk06's too any suggestions?
yeah ive got passlock 2 for both, no i don't have the brown connected yet, no im not using the d2d thanks tho
You are probably grabbing the wrong wires. Can you visually see the passlock connector? Usually the wires are wrapped in a gray, black, or yellow wrapping. (Try the yellow wrapped wires last since they are sometimes confused for airbag wires)
And you can't use D2D with the PLXR software. Did you make your ground for the unit at the ground of the passlock wires? If not, do so.
No I can't visually see the passlock connector I've just been using the yellow-resistor code, ORANGE / black-ground(from my tech sheet)that are with the other ignition wires, and they arn't wrapped in anything. There are 2 wires that are wraped in yellow-white and green I'd believe.
yeah I know I can't use the d2d(thats why I didn't) and yeah my ground is on the passlock ground
thanks btw
Ok so lets verify that this is the correct wire. Take your DMM and put the black probe on the ORANGE / black wire and your red to a ground in the car and set it to continuity. It should beep or read continuity depending on your meter.
Next cut the yellow wire in half and hook the red probe up to the KEYSIDE of the yellow wire, set your meter to resistance. Turn the key forward to IGN position and make sure your resistance changes from off position to IGN position. Shouldn't be more than 2000 ohms.
If all that is corrected solder your yellow wire back together with the blue wire of the XK06. Then solder the black wire of the XK06 to the ORANGE / black wire.
Next verify that ONLY these wires are connected on the XK06
Red-12V constant on the Remote start
Orange- Starter wire to the Remote start (Usually purple for DEI)Should only read voltage when cranking.
Pink- To IGN wire on remote start (Usually pink for DEI) Should read 10V during drank and 12V when the key is forward.
Here's the manual in case you don't have it.

If you want me to walk you through programming, i can, but I think you can get it from here. Just make sure when programming the Resistance code you should hear a click in the box. So if it doesn't learn it the first press, hold it again.
well i know that the BLACK/ orange is ground but i will test the resitance code wire and then get back to you thanks alot for the help.
do i have to hook up any input wires during programing when it doesn't say to on the diagram?
