how many keys do you have?

if youplan to do a remote start, you only need one key to program the bypass.

call local lock smiths and have them do it. it will cost you significantly less.

To avoid having to buy an additional key you can use an XpressKits XK05 Bypass with Firmware: PKN2 v:3.00.... XK05 Bypass

I am to understand that to program a new key you must see the dealer....

You can buy a Consult II and do it yourself.

There is currently one on Ebay for the bargain price of $4000!

haha, I'm not sure - I don't know how hard they are to operate.  I know they'll do quite a bit with Nissans.  I make no guarentee that even if you have one that you'll be able to figure out how to program the key!  Although, I would bet that the service manual will walk you through it.

Best way is to go through a lock smith, they are usually half the price. At least my experience with them.
