Hi
Just got done installing a viper 5301 and I tapped into the + brown parking lights at the BCM they work but when remote started at night the head light sensor turns on the head lights right away and when you unlock/lock the parking lights don’t blink is there any way to get around this so the head lights are off at night and the parking lights are only on and they blink when you lock and unlock at night?

Thanks

could try to find the auto lights wire and open it with a relay set for GWR

That might work or it might not

also not sure which one it is

might also be able to cut the power to the switch instead of the auto wire.

easy to check just disconnect the harness from the switch if that works then you could just cut the power to it

Try latching the e-brake wire with a negative ignition output. I think GM's don't turn on the autolights if the ebrake is on.

That worked, when the parking brake is set the lights are off.

Now if i can just fugure out how to wire this up with a relay!!

Thanks

easy hook a wire to the dk GREEN / WHITE e-brake, then hook that wire to the 87 of relay

then ground 30

put an output from the alarm to 85 set for gwr or ignition

then hook 12v to the other terminal 86

done

also note that it will turn the brake light on on the dash and it will stay on while remote started

that's how the indicator works and when that lights up the computer turns off the lights

the e-brake still has a cable that run back to the rear wheels and set the brake

Yeah, kind of a drag to allways have the brake light on.

I just wish there was a way to relay that head light sensor it self.

You would think that the sensor wire would have to go into  BCM or somthing?

it will only be on when remote started after you get in turn the key on and hit the brake it will go out.
