Subject: Can I use a GT Window Module on a Clifford Alarm

I have in my garage 2 modules from a GT 136/142 Alarm that were used to close the Front and Rear windows on my previous car.

I would like to know if it is possible to fit these to my current car that has a Clifford Concept Alarm installed.

I have Cliffnet Wizard so the polarity and duration of the Signal wire can be changed if required. I just need to know if these modules are compatible, and what the wiring digram would be for such modules.

I think I know what each do, but I just need confirmation before I go ahead and spend the time installing them.

Cheers......

Oops, forgot to say that it's a 1994 Subaru Impreza Turbo.

The module is probably a generic window roll up module. Are there any markings on the modules or diagrams that say what it is or an FCC ID # ? Here's the site for the GT alarm: https://www.carsecurity1.co.uk/autoalarm.htm but there is no mention of anything about GT window modules, so I am assuming that the modules are generic brands.

They are marked GT 167 - 12V

They are referred to on this site https://www.autoelectric.ru/autoalarm/gt/121/gt121m.htm

I think the wires are : Red & RED / Brown - 12V (Fused), Brown - Ground, Pink - Alarm Remote/Aux, Orange - D/Side Window, Yellow - D/Side Window, Green - P/Side Window, Grey - P/Side Window.

I am also assuming that the Pink is a Negative switch ????

Is this correct, and will it work on a Clifford Concept 300, as Clifford specify SmartWindows.....

P.S The site you referred me too is a guy who lives 1 mile down the road from me (small world)....

According to the manual the SmartWindows4 system will integrate to vent the vehicles windows and open/close the windows. The GT 167 - 12V will work with any system that can output a ( - ) pulse . What you need to do is to connect the EXT wire from the Clifford to the PINK wire of the DT167 wiring harness. That's pretty cool that this guy only lives down the srteet from you. Maybe if you run into problems then you can ask him for advice ??

Do the window wires need to be connected in any specific order i.e the orange switch side and yellow power side for example.....

  • Orange - D/Side Window motor side
  •  Yellow - D/Side Window switch side
  • Green - P/Side Window motor side
  • Grey - P/Side Window. switch side

You have to make sure that the motor side of each window is the same and the switch side is also the same otherwise you will have one window go down and the other one won't.
